Valiant Equestrian is excited to welcome back Canadian Olympian, international competitor, and Level III Equine Canada Coach Ian Roberts for a special Hunter, Jumper, and Show Jumping Clinic! Whether you’re looking to build confidence, improve your jumping skills, or refine your technique, this is an exciting opportunity to learn from one of Canada’s most experienced equestrian professionals. Ian brings an exceptional depth of experience to his coaching, making this a valuable learning opportunity for riders looking to develop their skills and understanding of the sport.
MEET IAN ROBERTS
Ian Roberts is a Canadian Olympian, international competitor, and Level III Equine Canada Coach with decades of experience across eventing, hunters/Jumpers and show jumping.
His accomplishments include:
- Representing Canada at the 2004 Olympic Games and the 2006 World Equestrian Games.
- Winning the Canadian Advanced and Intermediate Eventing Championships in 1996.
- Competing at the prestigious Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event.
- Achieving recent show jumping success, including a $10,000 Futures Prix victory aboard Copper Cove at World Equestrian Center.
- Coaching Costa Rica’s National Eventing Team to team bronze and individual silver at the 2013 Central American Games.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
Open to novice through to the advanced rider! Whether you’re developing your flatwork and jumping fundamentals or competing at a higher level, we'll group riders by experience, ability, and goals to support an educational clinic experience. You'll get coaching, feedback, and the chance to observe other horse-and-rider combinations.

Don't own, lease or part board and are presently a Valiant Equestrian Student? No Problem, use one of our horses/ponies for an additional $20.00 fee!

Not riding in the clinic? You can still be part of the experience!
Auditing allows spectators to watch the sessions, listen to Ian’s coaching, observe different horse-and-rider combinations, and learn from the feedback throughout the clinic.
WHAT IS A CLINIC? Think of a clinic as a special opportunity lesson with a guest coach!
Riders have the opportunity to receive new feedback, learn different techniques, and gain a fresh perspective on their riding. Depending on their level and goals, riders may work on position, balance, rhythm, distances, jumping technique, and communication with their horse. Clinics are a wonderful way to build confidence, develop skills, and continue progressing as a rider.

Indoor riding arena is 200 x 84, equipped with new lighting, fresh jumps/fill and magnesium for dust control. Our outdoor ring is 220 x 110, equipped with fresh jumps/fill and tilled for drainage.
